Our quad pelt ivory sheepskin rugs are made of four complete shearling rugs stitched together for a total size of approximately 4 feet wide and 6.3 feet in length. These 100% genuine sheepskin hides originate in New Zealand, where the sheep are raised in open fields which allow for grazing while they develop thick and soft insulating merino wool. The final product is our traditional sheepskin throw rug which offers decorative versatility while adding natural softness to any space. Sheepskin rugs can be placed on the floor beside your bed, in front of the fire, or used as a throw on sofas, chairs, and other furniture. The pelts used to make this quad rugs are some of the largest and softest available in Canada and contain dense merino wool fibres and durable suede backing. The lambskins are essentially a pelt or hide, and the term "shearling" is used to describe that the wool has never been separated from the suede leather backing.
