Sheepskin Care & Cleaning

Proper care helps maintain the softness, appearance and longevity of genuine sheepskin. Our sheepskin care essentials include a gentle wool-safe wash, a wire-bristled care brush, and a convenient package combining both products for routine cleaning and maintenance.

Sheepskin does not need frequent washing. Regular shaking, airing and brushing can help keep the wool fresh and reduce matting, while occasional cleaning with a suitable wool-safe detergent can be used when needed. Always follow the care instructions for your specific sheepskin or wool product.

Sheepskin Cleaning & Maintenance

• Gentle Cleaning: Use a mild wool-safe detergent such as Eucalan™ when washing products that are suitable for hand or machine washing.
• Regular Brushing: A wire-bristled care brush helps separate wool fibers, reduce matting and restore the wool's natural loft.
• Avoid Excessive Heat: Allow sheepskin to dry naturally and keep it away from dryers, radiators and other direct heat sources.
• Follow Product Care Instructions: Cleaning methods vary between sheepskin rugs, footwear, outerwear, bedding and other products.

Choose the Right Sheepskin Care Product

Woolwash Sheepskin Cleaner: Eucalan™ Eucalyptus Delicate Wash with a gentle no-rinse formula enriched with lanolin. Available in 100 ml and 500 ml sizes for washable sheepskin, wool and other delicates.
Sheepskin Care Brush: A wire-bristled carding brush for regular wool maintenance, helping reduce matting and restore loft to sheepskin rugs and other woolly sheepskin products.
Sheepskin Care Package: Combines a 100 ml bottle of Woolwash with our Sheepskin Care Brush for convenient cleaning and routine maintenance.

Free Care Brush with Sheepskin Rug Orders

A Sheepskin Care Brush is included free with every qualifying order containing a sheepskin rug. By default, we include one free brush per order. If you're ordering multiple rugs and would like an additional brush for each rug, simply add a note to your order and we'll be happy to include them, up to one brush per rug ordered.
