Medical sheepskins are selected for their dense wool and are designed to provide a soft, breathable layer of support for extended sitting or lying down. The wool helps distribute pressure across the surface while allowing air to circulate and helping to manage heat and moisture.
The Double Medical Sheepskin is made by joining two medical-grade pelts end-to-end, providing approximately 72" of length. The longer size makes it especially useful on beds and recliners where more coverage is wanted. The dense wool is evenly shorn to 1.25" (30 mm) to help reduce matting and make the sheepskin practical for everyday use.
General Care: Regular brushing helps maintain the wool and reduce matting. Spot clean as needed or machine wash using a wool-safe detergent. Allow the sheepskin to dry naturally and keep away from direct heat. For complete cleaning instructions, please refer to our Sheepskin Care guidelines.
