Regular brushing is the easiest ways to maintain a sheepskin rug. Wool can become compressed during shipping and gradually mat with use, while a wire-bristled carding brush helps separate the fibers and restore the wool's natural loft and appearance.
We recommend brushing a new sheepskin rug after unpacking and periodically thereafter as needed. Brushing is also helpful during the cleaning process and can be done gently while the wool is damp and again after it has completely dried.
General Care: Brush in the natural direction of the wool using gentle, even strokes. For complete cleaning, washing and drying instructions, please refer to our Sheepskin Care guidelines.
