High-Temp Medical Sheepskins provide the same dense, breathable wool cushioning as our regular Australian Medical Sheepskins, with specialized tanning that allows the pelt to withstand washing at temperatures up to 80°C (175°F). This makes them particularly suited to healthcare, long-term care and home-care environments where high-temperature laundering may be required.
The dense wool is evenly shorn to 1.25" (30 mm) to help distribute pressure, allow air to circulate and manage heat and moisture. The shorter wool also helps reduce matting and makes the pelt practical for regular use on beds, wheelchairs, recliners and chairs.
General Care: Regular brushing helps maintain the wool and reduce matting. When washing, use a wool-safe detergent and follow the supplied high-temperature washing instructions. Allow the sheepskin to dry naturally and keep away from direct heat. Some colour loss may occur during washing, particularly during the first wash.
